The Hangout

After making our family beach pictures we headed to The Hangout for supper. This is a good place to take 4 little ones to eat. We were all tired and luckily it did not take as long to get a table as we thought.

About one time an hour The Hangout will do a song that you can line dance to. Emma got up and danced while we were there. Proud of you, Emma!

Lawson didn't eat a lot of his supper so....his Mom told him he could have a milk shake if he ate a "little bit more". We didn't know it was going to look like he had gotten a drink in New Orleans!

He loved it.

SHE'S HAVING A BABY!

Yes, we found out our first day at the beach. All of us were already on the beach when Courtney and Dave arrived. Courtney sent Lawson running down the boardwalk to greet us. As Emma, Abby and JB3 ran to greet him and as I was walking toward him I saw he had on a monogrammed shirt. I read it and turned to Brady and Kim and said "does that shirt say Big Brother"? and that is indeed what it said. We had a family celebration on the beach!Courtney has had a lot of "all day" morning sickness. As Brady and Kim were leaving the condo to make a grocery run one night Brady asked if anybody needed anything. Courtney told him she really was craving a pickle. So.......they brought her back this BIG jar of pickles. They were all eaten by Courtney and the kids.
CONGRATULATIONS - COURTNEY, DAVE and LAWSON! We can't wait for a new little one in our family

First Full Day of the Lawson Family Beach Trip

All four Grandkids turned into official beach bums. They loved the beach and the ocean. I believe they would have played in the ocean until they couldn't walk to the condo. This makes life much easier for all of us. Emma, Abby and John Brady are such good swimmers that we can just watch them without having to be right beside them and Lawson was wearing a life vest. The weather was great....but some storms further out made for just PERFECT waves....not to big but big enough to carry you to shore.

Eight is Enough

Once again our book club found a great book. Let me say that in our three years (yes, we had our 3 year anniversary this month) we have had a few books that we weren't that crazy about. Our only rule about picking books was.....no Oprah Book Club books......guess we don't have that rule to worry about any more. I think we all have the goal of trying to pick a book that isn't staring you in the face in every Target and Wal Mart but we have caved to public pressure in our picks a few times.....The Shack comes to mind.

If you haven't read this book...I highly recommend it. The characters in the book come to life and are likable, the mystery plot keeps you wondering and what I really liked was the religious setting and the look into Jewish life. I hated to see the book end!

Caroline's Getting Married
