John went on an elk hunting trip....... high in the mountains of the Colorado Rockies. This was his 4th trip. He did not get an elk this trip but you won't find him disappointed. I guess you could say that we, his family, know how much he loves us because..........he comes home!
John calls this God's Country......and I think he does a lot of talking to him while he is on these mountains.
Look closely at this fallen Aspen tree (that was right beside where John was hunting) and you can see where a bear has been recently clawing on it!!!! I don't like to think about it..... much less for him to bring home picture proof of it!!!!

John says that nothing compares to watching the sun go down.... sitting high on a mountain!
