I'm gona let it shine
This little light of mine
I'm gona let it shine
Let it shine, all the time, let it shine
Last week was quite a week in the Lawson family. We celebrated the 11th birthday of our first Grandchild and celebrated the birth of a Grandchild. On February 10th I had my whole family together in one small hospital room and everybody had a smile on their face. The circle of life just keeps rolling and yet it is always new and exciting. Of course, we know that the circle of life keeps rolling and brings sad days and unhappy events but we all still want to be alive, to breathe in the sweet air, to laugh another day and feel like no one else could be as loved.
Last Saturday I was standing on the street trying to get pictures of my Grandchildren, that were participating in The Mercedes Kids Marathon, and JB3 ran past me with a big smile on his face. I ran behind him, on the sidewalk, to try and capture him as he crossed the finish line. As I turned the corner to the finish line the loud speakers were playing the song "This Little Light of Mine".....and it nearly brought me to my knees .....right there...right then!!! As the song played I stopped in my tracks and thanked the Lord for my many blessings and especially for the health and happiness of my Grandchildren. As I walked on I tried to make it look like my eyes were just watering from the cold wind.....but we know that wasn't true!
Thank you, Jesus for....John, Brady, Kim, Emma, Abby, John Brady, Courtney, Dave, Lawson, Lily, Josh and Meredith. May I never forget to be thankful and to let my light shine!

You are blessed Mrs. Joy! This post made me cry...but in a good way! Love you bunches!
Such a sweet post...it made me get all choked up just reading it! It is the little things in life (which are really the big things of importance) that we celebrate!!
