Tuesdays with MeMe

CONVERSATIONS IN THE MEME MOBILE

I pick up John Brady at Northport Elementary and then get in line at Huntington Place Elementary to pick up Emma and Abby. On the trip between the schools I get some "one on one" conversation time with JB3. I usually start out by asking how his day went. He usually tells me he got on the "green". The conversation will then move to something that happened at school or something that happened at home. He will get to talking fast and usually I will have to ask him to repeat something that I didn't understand. You can see the look on his face.....these old people can't hear! So, we were having one of our usual conversations, as we were waiting at the red light, when in mid conversation John Brady says this to me................"MeMe, do you know where the Bunnies went after the wedding?"

Picture me in the front seat. I am thinking about my DIL, Kim, and her photography business and thinking....hummmm, Kim must have taken a wedding or maybe somebody at their church got married. So I say......"Well, John Brady, I don't know those people so I guess you will have to ask your Mama or Daddy". Picture again...total silence from the back seat and then JB3 says......with exasperation in his voice for the old person in the front seat...."MeMe, just ask me where they went".......so...as realization hits me that I must seem so very uncool....I ask, rather sheepishly.......where did the "Bunnys" go after their wedding?.......John Brady replied....on their "Bunnymoon"!

GLIMPSES OF TAYLOR RIDGE FARM

Taking Emma to riding lessons is a little like taking a mini vacation. You can't help but relax as you look around. It is so peaceful and quiet. Beautiful trees, pastures, horses and dogs surround you as you breathe in the fresh air.

Proud of all my Grandchildren!
